Some photographers take senior portraits very seriously. I do believe they’re super important and an heirloom everyone should have but, they should also be fun!
When you choose me, be prepared to laugh a ton and know that I’m game for anything to get the shot you want!
How far in advance should I have my senior portraits taken?
A.Senior portraits can start as early as the spring before your senior year and can be taken up until the end of the calendar year (around the holidays). Choose the time of year that speaks to you. For example, some may love the blooming flowers of spring, some are drawn to the warmth of summer, some prefer the beautiful colors of fall and some like to wait until there’s snow on the ground. As long as you book your session at least a month or two before your school’s yearbook deadline, you'll be just fine!
Can I bring my own props?
A.Of course! Props are great! A few examples are musical instruments, sports medals, big balloons, glitter, or your future college’s colors. These are the things that help make your photos unique and a true representation of who you are right now.
Where will we shoot the photos?
A.I’m flexible! I have a few go-to places I love around Mercer County with lots of great scenery and great light but if you have a specific location in mind that's special to you, that's great too! Let me know if you want me to choose the location or if you want to pick one yourself. I'm always up for the challenge of a non-traditional session where I can be creative!
Do you edit or touch up the photos?
A.I adjust things like colors and lighting in post processing, and I will edit out any blemishes or injuries that are obvious. I use light brushes to accentuate, but not change your features. I like to keep things as natural as possible.
